Introduces fundamental aspects of the Italian language and culture, including basic vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, with a communicative approach emphasizing practical usage in everyday situations.

Students will continue developing their communication skills through everyday conversations and practical situations. The class will expand vocabulary and introduce more complex grammar structures, including the future tense and the conditional, helping students express plans, possibilities, opinions, and hypothetical situations with greater confidence and accuracy.

Italian B2 (Advanced) Zoom with Nancy Sguera, Tuesdays 2:30-4:00 p.m.
Working to understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. Reaching a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Learning to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

Italian A2 (Beginner) in person with Cristina Walden, Tuesdays 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
This class introduces new vocabulary and verb tenses to enable students to relate a story about past events (with the two most common past tenses used in Italian). Students will also learn how to give instructions (with the imperative verb form). The lessons will be built around an easy short mystery written specifically for this Italian level. The story takes place in Florence, so we will be learning about the city of Florence as well.

This C level class aims for higher proficiency and fluency. It introduces more complex and sophisticated vocabulary, and concentrates on vocabulary building through awareness of noun, adjective, verb, adverb connection. It continues to build on grammar and conversation skills, as well as reading and writing through homework assignments.

All our pastas are made by hand daily and all our sauces are patiently slow cooked for hours each morning. Every dish is made by the order and often adjusted for our customers preference.
Expect to speak Italian throughout the meal.
We provide an atmosphere to practice Italian language with an instructor present to make subtle corrections.
Each participant will pay his own expenses directly to the restaurant. Some restaurants charge a fee for credit cards. Please check with the restaurant in advance.
