AMICI NEWSLETTER

The ICS Amici Newsletter is published twice each season, in September and in December. Committee members research content, write articles, edit and proofread, format digital layout and graphic design. 

AMICIZIA

Provides small group gatherings, in Naples during the season, and in other parts of the country in the off-season. Committee members have a passion for reading and sharing literature. The Chair oversees the organization and management of all Amicizia activities: Book Club, Storytelling, Travel Forum, Leaving a Legacy, Wine Tasting and Sunset with a Twist, and Amicizia GNY.

ARCHIVES

The Archives is a digital space which chronicles and preserves important records and documentation. Maintaining  a secure space for original documentation of the meetings of the Board of Directors and critical documents is the goal of the Archives.

EVENT PLANNING

Adhering to the mission of ICS, the committee enthusiastically plans, coordinates and delivers the major events of the season: four lecture/luncheons, a concert and one or more Special Events. We welcome new event planners as well as volunteers to help with specific events.

HOSPITALITY: EVENT CHECK-IN

The job of Hospitality is to greet and check members in when they arrive for an event, verifying the registration roster. For events with reserved seating Hospitality plans table seating. 

ITALIAN FILMS

Present an annual, representative program of Italian language films to ICS Members and the public.

Coordinate the ICS Italian language program: planning, staffing, scheduling and registration of language program offerings, both in-person and Zoom.

MARKETING

To increase public awareness of ICS and to establish relationships with other cultural associations in the greater Naples area to advance the ICS mission and provide enrichment opportunities for ICS members.

MEMBERSHIP

The committee reaches out to new members to welcome them and answer questions. At events, they welcome and assist in seating new members on the attendance roster. Plan and chair the New Member, Volunteer and Board Thank You events. 

NOMINATING

Ensure the ICS Board of Directors and Standing Committees have sufficient members. Search for Board volunteers and solicit from the membership for open positions. Interview candidates, reviewing bios and discussing ICS Bylaws. 

SUMMER DINNERS

Plan, coordinate and attend once-a-month group dinners from May to September, offering ICS members in the Naples area the continued opportunity to socialize and make new friends within a smaller group during the summer season. 

WEBSITE:

Maintain the ICS website for joining and renewing membership, event registration, and two-way communication.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Website management experience preferred.
