Our language courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages, recognizing three competence levels A (beginner), B (intermediate), and C (advanced), then divided within each group, into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Example: A1(Advanced) is less difficult than (B1 Beginner). We can easily move you between classes to find the best educational experience.

Sessions consist of one 90-minute class per week for six weeks. Note: there are no classes Thanksgiving week.
Students supply their own textbooks, which are available from Amazon, MEP Education www.mepeducation.net, www.edilingua.it or https://www.gettextbooks.com Purchase an edition that includes the workbook exercises. You do not need CDs if you purchase a new book that includes an on-line access code.
Classes with fewer than 6 students may be canceled.
We do not add a surcharge for credit card payment; however, there is a $5 processing fee for refunds.

Join our fun and practical Italian for Travel class using the new textbook Italiano in Valigia ("Italian in Your Suitcase"). This is a beginner course focused on the vocabulary, expressions, and cultural tips you'll need to navigate Italy with confidence. From ordering in a trattoria and shopping in local markets to asking for directions and checking into hotels, you'll learn real-life Italian through engaging conversations and interactive activities. A1 (Beginner) in person Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 pm with Antonella Dalla Muta beginning Oct 28th at Community School of Naples 13275 Livingston Road,Naples, Room TBD.Discover the joy of Italian in a fun, beginner-friendly class that combines practical conversation with essential grammar to build confidence from day one. Students will learn correct pronunciation; and practice listening, speaking, writing and reading. | A1 (Advanced) in person with Dr. Cristina Walden Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 beginning Oct 28th, Community School of Naples 13275 Livingston Road, Naples, Room O-11.This class introduces new vocabulary for basic conversation about daily events, the weather, and travel. Students will continue to practice asking questions and directions, and learn how to relate events that happened in the recent past using the most common Italian past tense. The lessons will be built around a short and easy mystery (written for this Italian level ) that takes place in Venice, so we will learn about that city and about Marco Polo! ![]() | A2 (Beginner) in person with Dr. Cristina Walden Tuesdays 4:30-6:00 beginning Oct 27th, Community School of Naples 13275 Livingston Road, Naples, Room O-11. This class introduces new vocabulary and verb tenses to enable students to relate a story about past events (with the two most common past tenses used in Italian). Students will also learn how to give instructions (with the imperative verb form). The lessons will be built around an easy short mystery written specifically for this Italian level. A2 (Beginner) Zoom with Nancy Sguera Wednesday 3:30-5:00 beginning Oct 28th.Students will continue learning useful vocabulary and common phrases with correct pronunciation. B1 (Beginner) Zoom with Dr. Viviana Ardesia Mondays 1:30-3:00 pm, beginning Oct 26th. Students will expand upon previous listening, reading writing and speaking skills. Work on understanding and using familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of specific needs. Learn to ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
